Lead Relationship Manager - Regional Agribusiness

Cary Sandell is a Lead Relationship Manager for CoBank’s Regional Agribusiness Banking Group and is responsible for business development and relationship management of grain and farm supply cooperatives. Sandell also oversees purchased loan participations in the protein sector – including cattle feeding, dairy, poultry and beef packing plants throughout the Midwest and Northern Plains.  He serves on the board of directors of the Nebraska Cooperative Council. 

Prior to CoBank, Sandell served as a senior vice president and relationship manager for Wells Fargo, where he started as a credit analyst in 1994.  As part of the Food and Agribusiness Group, his focus was on large scale animal agriculture and agribusiness lending.

Sandell earned a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness and a master’s degree in agricultural economics from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, as well as graduating with high honors from the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado. Cary resides in Malcolm, NE with his wife and three daughters.
