Eric Itambo

President

Eric Itambo is president of CoBank, with responsibility for the commercial banking franchise, banking products and services, capital markets, the Farm Credit Banking Group and corporate sustainability. He also oversees the technology, operations and product experience groups. Mr. Itambo serves as chair of the board of directors of Farm Credit Leasing and serves on the CoBank Management Executive Committee.

Before joining CoBank in 2018, Mr. Itambo was managing director, U.S. head of commercial lending management for Citigroup’s Global Consumer/Commercial Banking Group. Over his 20 years with Citigroup, Mr. Itambo built extensive experience in corporate and investment banking, commercial business banking and commercial real estate finance businesses, including risk and portfolio management.

A Rhodes Scholar, Mr. Itambo earned an MBA in economics and finance from the University of Oxford, and a bachelor’s degree with First Class Honors in agricultural engineering from Egerton University in Kenya.
