Nathan Garcin is a Regional Vice President for AgWest Farm Credit, having previously joined its predecessor association Farm Credit West in March of 2018. Garcin began in the Rocklin, California headquarters office in Capital Markets for four years before moving to Paso Robles in his current position. Prior roles were in commercial banking and institutional investing, with several institutions including a large regional bank, a large corporate finance subsidiary of a top-three commercial bank, a life insurance company with oversight of a ~$90 billion portfolio of bonds and private placements, and a large French-owned commercial bank headquartered in California. Garcin has worked in underwriting, relationship management, portfolio management, credit approval and now has oversight of lending in a region with commodities ranging from vegetables, berries, tree nuts, table grapes, cattle and wine grapes (and vineyards), among others. He graduated from California Polytechnic State Universty, San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness and California State University, Sacramento with a Master of Business Administration. Garcin lives on the Central Coast of California with his wife and two young children.
